Revision Policy and Terms

Initial Criteria

Revisions are included for free as long as the requested changes remain within the scope of your original brief—the criteria agreed upon before or when the deposit was paid.

For example:

  • If your brief specifies a Rastafarian frog, any adjustments related to that character—such as changing the length of its dreadlocks or the angle of its hat—are within the scope and eligible for free revisions.

  • However, if you later decide you want a Hawaiian pig instead, this would be considered a significant change and incur additional fees, as it deviates from the original agreement.

I understand that creative ideas can evolve. In some cases, I may allow minor deviations from the brief—like adding sneakers to the frog—even if they weren’t initially mentioned. However, major additions, such as including a parrot on the frog’s shoulder, will likely require an extra charge as they introduce significant new elements.

Revisions by Design Stage

Design work typically progresses in two key stages:

  1. Pencil Sketch Phase: This stage is for refining the character’s structure, composition, and layout. All major revisions should be made here.

  2. Final Rendering and Coloring Phase: After approving the sketch, I render and color the design. Once this stage begins, structural changes (e.g., layout, composition) will incur additional fees. However, adjustments to colors are still free until the design is fully approved.

Revision Deadlines

  • Revisions must be requested within 14 days of receiving the latest draft.

  • If I receive no response after 14 days and a follow-up email, the design will be deemed approved, and free revisions will no longer apply.

Avoiding Paid Revisions

To minimize the need for paid revisions:

  • Be as clear as possible in your initial brief.

  • Provide detailed descriptions of your needs and expectations upfront.
This clarity ensures we’re aligned from the start, reducing the need for extensive changes.

Right to Refuse Revisions

While I strive to offer unlimited revisions within the agreed criteria, I reserve the right to refuse further changes if I feel the policy is being abused—for example, if excessive or unnecessary revisions are requested. In such cases, I may cancel the order.

Refund Policy

Refunds are rare but may be issued in the following circumstances:

  • If revisions fail to meet the agreed-upon brief or I cannot fulfill the project.

  • If I’m unable to complete a booking due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • If a client cancels with at least 72 hours’ notice before work begins, I will refund the deposit.

Refunds are not available for cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled work, as I cannot rebook the time at such short notice.
